Avoid This Mistake: Manhandling Anodized Aluminum Trim Pieces
How many times have you done this? Reproduction anodized aluminum trim pieces don’t always have the same thickness as their original equipment counterparts. So we mindlessly press these pieces into place, sometimes aggressively, only to wind up with dents and waves in the aluminum. Be kind and gentle with anodized aluminum trim pieces. With grille perimeter anodized aluminum trim pieces, it is suggested you use the original Ford retaining clips, which are easier to press into place than the reproductions. Use the soft heel of your hand to secure trim pieces, never your fingertips. Fingertips leave dents.
Is that a wave in your grille?
